Long Term Athletic Development (LTAD): What is it?
What is it?
LTAD supports the four goals of the Canadian Sport Policy:
- Enhanced participation
- Enhanced excellence
- Enhanced capacity
- Enhanced interaction
LTAD reflects a commitment to contribute to the achievement of these goals
and has been successfully adopted by numerous Canadian and international
sport organizations. It is participant-centred, coach-driven and administration,
sport science and sponsor supported.
Athletes, who progress through the stages of LTAD, experience instruction,
training, and competition in programs developed taking their specific biological
and developmental needs into consideration.

Come Try Ringette
Do you know of someone thinking about signing up for Ringette and they are
still not sure? Please pass this message along, “The Come Try Ringette program
is a 1 hour on ice session for the NEW Ringette player to try Ringette before
signing up. All you need are some skates, a stick, and a helmet. So... why not
give it a try and get into the game!
